Propylene Glycol USP/EP (PURAGUARD™ USP/EP)

In cosmetics and personal care products, it serves as a solvent, coupling agent, carrier, emulsion stabilizer, softening agent, viscosity modifier, and humectant.

Our Propylene Glycol (PG) Animal Feed grade is specifically designed for use as a humectant, emulsifier, preservative, solvent for additives, and energy source in pet foods and animal feed. It is classified as animal feed material in countries of the European Union.

Propylene Glycol (PG) USP/EP

This product is a high-purity grade of monopropylene glycol for use in pharmaceutical (excipient only; ingredient of a pharmaceutical injectable application is not supported)*, food, cosmetic, personal care, flavor and fragrance, plus a variety of other applications.

PURAGUARD™ USP/EP

This product offers one of the highest purity propylene glycols available in the marketplace – with a specified purity of 99.8 percent or greater, adherence to IPEC-PQG Good Manufacturing Practices for pharmaceutical excipients*, and a two-year shelf life when stored according to recommendations.

Propylene Glycol (PG) Animal Feed

Dipropylene Glycol (DPG) Regular 

It’s the versatility of Dipropylene Glycol (DPG) Regular Grade from Dow that makes it an indispensable chemical for a multitude of applications, whether used as a solvent, coupling agent, or intermediate, DPG Regular from Dow is the go-to solution for a wide range of industries. 

Used in the production of dipropylene glycol dibenzoate for plasticizers, or commonly used to add flexibility and hydrolytic stability to unsaturated polyester resins as a reactant. Additionally, it can be used to create dipropylene glycol diacrylate for radiation-cured resin formulations. 

Furthermore, Dipropylene Glycol is an excellent initiator for urethane polyol synthesis and is used in rigid polyurethane foams. Its low evaporation rate, excellent solvency for certain oils, and low toxicity make it ideal for use in brake fluid formulations, cutting oils, textile lubricants, printing inks, coatings, industrial soaps, and as a solvent for agricultural and insecticidal formulations.
