Commercial Insulating Glass
For over three decades, silicone insulating glass sealants from Dow have been used in structural glazing applications, providing superior UV-resistance and structural capability. Our innovative sealants help inspire designers and enable unique architectural possibilities for glass facades.
Glass Embedding
DOWSIL™ 375 Construction & Glass Embedding is Dow's two-part polyurethane for installation of frameless glass balustrades. Pourable, self-levelling and fast-curing at room temperature, this product is easy to install and suitable for interior and exterior embedding applications.

Along with the aesthetic benefits of a smooth, seamless facade, silicone structural glazing offers unsurpassed weatherability and UV resistance. Additionally, this technology’s high strength and high movement enables technical design flexibility and design freedom for the architect.
Thermal modeling comparisons have shown systems using silicone structural glazing are more energy-efficient than systems using mechanically fixed, gasket-based glazing. Over time, gaskets in mechanically fixed glazing systems shrink and fail, allowing moisture ingress and increasing air infiltration, which results in increased energy consumption.
For silicone insulating glass, Dow offers fast-curing, two-part sealants, for increased productivity with shorter hold times, so you can build and ship more units. Dow also offers one-part products that help to simplify the application process, and our neutral-cure sealants offer excellent adhesion to a wide range of glass types and metal spacers.
