Advancing carbon neutrality with Dow
Responsible sourcing of low-carbon feedstock helps make net-carbon reduction possible.
Our reduced carbon offerings demonstrate or enable a lower carbon footprint. This net carbon reduction is based on the responsible sourcing of low-carbon feedstocks as well as Dow`s actions to reduce carbon emissions in the manufacturing process - both of which result in lower embedded carbon in our customer`s products.
Dow and Atlas Renewable Energy announce the signing of a Solar Energy PPA in Brazil
Aratú Site will have energy related emissions reduced by approximately 30 KT of CO2eq per year. Atlas’s Solar Plant will have an installed capacity of 187MWp and will provide clean, renewable energy to Dow and others.

Through advanced or chemical recycling, hard-to-recycle post-consumer and post-industrial waste is transformed into sustainable feedstocks. End-of-life PU products are broken down into its base components which can be used to manufacture new products.
All of this helps to keep end-of-life material out of the waste stream and reduce the need for non-renewable feedstocks.

Designing for circularity at the molecular level expands the possibilities for recycling across a variety of applications, and ultimately lessens the overall environmental footprint. Many of our polyurethane solutions are designed to enable circularity in products and processes helping them to reach their circularity and carbon targets.

Our resource-efficient polyurethanes are designed to help drive down carbon emissions and the amount of natural resources consumed. Thanks to new and improved technologies, it’s possible to optimize the entire polyurethanes manufacturing process – reducing energy consumption, emissions, water, and waste.
