Polyolefin Elastomers

Is it plastic? Is it rubber? Yes.

Strong yet flexible. Tough yet forgiving. Polyolefin elastomers (POEs) have become one of the leading materials used in automotive exteriors and interiors, wire and cable coatings, extrusion coating, films, injection molding, medical products, adhesives, footwear, and foams.

ENGAGE™ Polyolefin Elastomers

When you need a modifier that will help to make your product tough and resilient while flexible at the same time, look to ENGAGE™ Polyolefin Elastomers (POE). ENGAGE™ POEs provide exceptional performance with an outstanding balance of properties. As one of the first polymers to use INSITE™ technology, the innovative polymer serves as a bridge between rubber and plastic to inspire new design possibilities.

INFUSE™ Olefin Block Copolymers

Featuring unique block architecture, INFUSE™ Olefin Block Copolymers (OBCs) enable you to expand your use of elastomers into a wide range of applications. This cutting-edge technology enables an improved balance of flexibility and high temperature resistance, better elastic recovery and compression set properties, and improved abrasion resistance. It also offers faster set-up in processing due to higher crystallization temperature.

Other polyolefin elastomers?

We also offer a range of ethylene propylene diene terpolymers, NORDEL™ EPDM, which offer you better precision and control, and excellent durability for end use applications. Alternatively, if your application is better suited to propylene-based elastomers, our family of VERSIFY™ Plastomers and Elastomers can provide flexibility, heat resistance and great optics among other features. Finally, if you are looking for modifiers for use in hot-melt adhesives, check out AFFINITY™ GA Polyolefin Elastomers.
