Frequently Asked Questions
ENDURANCE™ Compounds are engineered with advanced tree-retardant cross-linked polyethylene (TR-XLPE) technology. This provides exceptional water tree retardant performance and excellent retained breakdown strength (AWTT), which is critical for preventing premature cable failure and extending the operational life of the power grid. These compounds are designed to address the highest industry standards, including requirements for MV 105ºC for increased ampacity.
"Water treeing" is a primary cause of dielectric failure in medium voltage cables exposed to moisture and electrical stress. Our water tree retardant technology slows this degradation process significantly. By inhibiting the growth of water trees, our ENDURANCE™ Compounds maintain their dielectric strength for far longer, leading to a substantial increase in cable reliability, a lower total life-cycle cost, and a more stable power distribution network.
Our compounds for insulation, shielding, and jacketing are formulated to help cable manufacturers address and often exceed a wide range of rigorous international standards. These include, but are not limited to, ANSI, ICEA, AEIC, IEC, CENELEC, VDE DKE, and VNIIKP/GOST R. This global compliance ensures that our solutions can be specified and deployed with confidence in critical power infrastructure projects around the world.
We are committed to connecting you with experts and resources to tackle any challenge.
