Solventless Product Chemistries
SYL-OFF™ Solventless, Platinum-Catalyzed Hexenyl Silicone Release Coatings are based on 100 percent solids reactive hexenyl-functional siloxane polymers. Platinum-Catalyzed Hexenyl Silicone Release Coatings feature fast low temperature cure and can be used for coating on thermally-sensitive substrates.
SYL-OFF™ Solventless, Platinum-Catalyzed Vinyl Silicone Release Coatings are based on 100 percent solids reactive vinyl-functional siloxane polymers. Different release coating combinations can be selected to meet different performance requirements such as curing temperature, release force and bath life. Platinum-Catalyzed Vinyl Silicone Release Coatings are ideal to be used in single sided liners, backing sheets for pressure sensitive adhesive labels, double sided liners, interleaving papers for double sided and transfer tapes, to ensure the protection and desired unwind characteristics of a double-sided self-adhesive tape or adhesive film.
SYL-OFF™ Solventless, Rhodium-Catalyzed Silicone Release Coatings are based on pre-catalyzed 100 percent solids, vinyl-functional reactive siloxane polymers. Silicone release coating systems catalyzed by Rhodium offer robust cure which is highly resistant to poisoning. Typical applications include providing stable adhesion against reactive adhesives in pressure sensitive tape or label applications. In addition, the Rhodium system can provide silicone coating composition that can be used in the in-line process for making laminates without the problem of bonding or welding between the silicone coating and the adhesive.
