A hydrophobic acrylic copolymer. It works well in a variety of applications, especially nonwovens and soft textile coatings (ex: wipes, medical paper, wall coverings). This product offers remarkable dry and wet tensile strength and is durable to washing in textile applications. Additional characteristics include ease of formulation, good runnability and low water penetration. This product is a self-crosslinking emulsion, which does not need an external crosslinker to achieve water and solvent resistance or durability to washing and dry cleaning. Self-reactive sites are built into this latex polymer which self-crosslinks with a combination of time and heat (recommendations are 3 min at 150°C).
