DOWFAX™ 63N10 Nonionic Surfactant

An efficient foam control agent because of its low foam characteristics and inverse water solubility suitable for metal working fluids. Low surface tension makes this a particularly efficient rinse aid and low foam wetting agent in auto dish detergents, industrial and institutional cleaning, and in cleaning-place (CIP) applications such as food, dairy, and brewery cleaning. It is a medium temperature foam control agent. It is used in fermentations, food processing operating at 35 to 40°C. Its cloud point in a 1 wt% aqueous solution is ~ 23°C. It is also a surfactant for in-process cleaning. The product is considered readily biodegradable per OECD 301F testing.
