Durable Water Repellent for Textiles
Durable water repellency supported by successful silicone technology
If you’re looking to create water repellent textiles, Dow is here to help. DOWSIL™ IE-8749 Emulsion and DOWSIL™ IE-9100 Emulsion are designed to advance durable repellency in the development of outerwear fabric, including athletic wear and winter garments, as well as technical textiles.
According to industry standards (e.g. Bundesmann test).
With resistance to wash cycles (20+ wash/dry cycles).
Minimum chalk marks.
Over the hand-feel of the fabric, from very soft to firm.
Maintains breathability of fabrics and membranes to maximize comfort.
With a broad range of synthetic, natural or blended fiber fabrics.
Compatible with standard manufacturing processes, can be tailored thanks to its high solid content.
Compared to other silicone technologies.
Garments can be air dried after laundering and maintain DWR performance.
