VORATRON™ Polyurethane Systems allow for the development of thermally conductive and non-thermally conductive adhesives, gap fillers, and pottants for a wide range of battery types, such as prismatic, pouch, and cylindrical cells.
These customizable, two-part, room temperature curing polyurethane systems include low densities that allow for lighter weight powertrains, enabling reduced vehicle weight and reducing CO2 emissions, ideal for hybrid and electric vehicles.

While they burn less energy than pouch and prismatic designs, our battery pack pottants foams and encapsulants have individual cells and the entire battery covered to ensure thorough protection.
VORATRON™ Polyurethane Systems for potting foams and encapsulants offer mechanical strength as well as flexibility for the structural needs of the battery pack. These strong & tough foam pottants can also be modeled tailored to meet the rheokinetics that best suits different processing and assembly needs. Computational assistance helps design the properties and filling conditions to ensure that the dispensed pottant fills the intricate geometries and space of the cylindrical cell case, preventing voids that may lead to mechanical integrity issues of the pack.
