Low 1,4-Dioxane Levels of Dow Products
Recent environmental regulations are changing the requirements for consumer products labeling.
New York recently signed legislation1 limiting the amount of 1,4-dioxane in Household Cleaning Products to no more than 2 ppm by January 1, 2022 and no more than 1 ppm by January 1, 2023. These levels apply to the 1,4-dioxane level in the fully formulated cleaning product. The state of California is also considering similar legislation for home and personal care products through the Safer Consumer Products Program2.
