Dow’s INFINAIR™ Polyolefin Elastomers (POE) can provide good processability and recyclability

INFINAIR™ is a new sustainably developed polyolefin elastomer (POE) based solution for loop technology specifically designed for 3D Loop markets. Launched in January 2021, this innovative material can be used in a wide variety of applications, from residential mattresses to pet beds, baby pillows, medical mattresses, and outdoor furniture.

The INFINAIR™ solution is developed by fusing thermoplastic elastomer filaments to form thousands of bonded loops by a melt extrusion and water-cooling process. It is specially designed for 3D Loop fiber extrusion along with an optimized crystallinity to maximize the hardness of fiber and bonding strength of fiber loops.

That’s why the 3D Loop material made from INFINAIR™ offers better airflow, support, and comfort compared to traditional foam materials. Its 90%+ open structure and elastomeric nature embodies mattresses with the following traits:
