WALOCEL™ MKW 15000 PP30 Cellulose Ether

This modified hydroxyethyl methyl cellulose (HEMC) is designed to enhance the quality and processing characteristics of cement spray plaster applications such as one- or two-coat cement-based plaster, cement-based lightweight plaster and the cementitious parts of an exterior insulation finishing system (EIFS). Compatible with all conventional mineral binders used in cement spray plaster formulations, WALOCEL™ MKW 15000 PP 30 provides sag resistance, high standing strength, effective stabilization of air voids and good impact resistance. It also enhances workability and water retention. Dow’s WALOCEL™ cellulose ether products are manufactured using cellulose from wood or cotton linter, resulting in an inherently bio-based additive with approximately over 78% bio-based carbon content.This product has a lower product carbon footprint version available under Decarbia™ Dow brand.
