Caustic soda, or sodium hydroxide (NaOH), is used as a strong base in the manufacture of products that form a daily part of our lives, including pulp and paper, detergents, textiles and more. Versatile and essential to many applications, caustic soda is a critical component in the production of industrial products. By using renewable energy in our production process, Dow produces Caustic Soda Solution 50%, DEC Membrane featuring Decarbia™ technology with a significantly reduced carbon footprint. The process, which uses mass balance to trace and verify the percentage of renewable energy used in our production has received an ISCC PLUS certification.
