Flowable Textile Elastomer cures by interaction with moisture. It can be pumped readily from the container using a transfer pump with follower plate. Care must be taken to avoid water or humidity in the conduits to avoid premature curing. When using a ribbon coating machine, the cure is usually accelerated by increasing the absolute amount of water vapor in the air. This is controlled by the temperature in combination with the relative humidity.
