Qué es DOWSIL™ LPA-4000 Sprayable RTV Ablative Silicone?
A one-part, non-slumping, room-temperature cure sprayable ablative that provides good flame and flux resistance, and cost efficiencies with application flexibility. Spray, roll or trowel and reach desired thickness in one event – and it cures in 24 hours.
Usos
- Ablative coating and thermal barrier for protection of launch structures exposed to indirect rocket blast such as strongback, gantry and flame tunnel
- Sacrificial coating can be applied to bare substrate or previously coated ablative surfaces
- Developed for the aerospace industry
Beneficios
- Withstands temperatures from -55° C to + 200°C for extended periods, and up to +3300°C for brief periods (several seconds)
- Moderate char characteristics
- Surface easily cleaned and recoated
- Low thermal conductivity
- Flexibility and service at temperature extremes
- Deep section cure (up to 25mm) is possible
- Can be sprayed, troweled, brushed/painted on to surfaces
