DOWFAX™ DF 112 Defoamer

A viscous liquid at room temperature with a low pour point. It is an efficient foam control agent by having low foam characteristics and inverse water solubility. It is used in such processes as flash distillation of seawater, boiler waters, metal working fluids, paper processing and high temperature food processing. It is a very efficient and non toxic foam control agent for hot processes operating at 60 to 65°C. It is supplied in a liquid form, 100% active. Above the cloud point, it separates from the aqueous solution and acts as an extremely effective defoamer. Its cloud point in a 1 wt% aqueous solution is ~ 49°C.
