Dow Announces Price Increase for Propylene Oxide / Propylene Glycols

Midland, MI - May 01, 2006

The Dow Chemical Company ("Dow") will increase prices for propylene oxide (PO), propylene glycol industrial grade (PGI), propylene glycol pharmaceutical grade (PG USP/EP), tripropylene glycol regular grade (TPG) and tripropylene glycol acrylate grade (TPG Ac) by $0.05/lb in the Americas and the Caribbean, effective June 1, 2006.

This follows the $0.05/lb increase Dow recently announced for dipropylene glycol regular grade (DPG) and dipropylene glycol LO+ grade (DPG LO+) in the Americas and the Caribbean, effective May 1, 2006.

Dow offers propylene oxide, monopropylene glycol (MPG), dipropylene glycol (DPG) and tripropylene glycol (TPG) globally. For more information about propylene glycols, visit www.DowPG.com.
