Dow has been an industry leader in the adoption and promotion of Responsible Care^®, the chemical industry's award-winning performance initiative. This initiative has helped improve the performance of the chemical industry, increase information sharing within the industry, and increase transparency with the public. Dow practices the American Chemistry Council’s version of Responsible Care globally, or the local version, whichever is more stringent.

Dow supports plans to spread the implementation of Responsible Care as broadly as possible within the chemical and allied industries, and up and down the supply chain.
