Polypropylene Glycols and Copolymers Europe

Applications

DOW polypropylene glycols and DOWFAX Nonionic Surfacants are used in a variety of applications. They offer a wide range of hydrophile-lipophile balances and molecular weights, expanding formulating possibilities. When used a functional fluids, they offer excellent lubricity and solvency.

The primary applications for DOWFAX Nonionic Surfactants involve foam control and detergency. DOWFAX N-Series Surfactants are employed in such processes as fermentation, food processing, pulp and paper processing, water treatment, manufacturing of textile, pharmaceuticals, adhesives, leather, paint and coatings, inks, paint balls, and metalworking products. They can be reacted with an organic acid to form an ester, which are also effective foam control agents. In addition, DOWFAX N-Series Surfactants are versatile enough to be used in

- a multitude of industrial applications including emulsifiers, rinse aids, and low foam wetting agents in autodish detergents, I&I cleaning. They also work for in-place cleaning such as food, dairy, and brewery cleaning, or even as components of sanitizing solutions.

- diverse applications including emulsion polymerization, acid gas treatment, agricultural formulations (pesticides, insecticides, weed killer formulations), petroleum chemicals (demulsifier), as emulsifiers for oil/water formulations

The high performance designed DOWFAX DF-Series Surfactants are specifically used in processes such as vegetable washing, sugar manufacturing, fermentation, food and paper processing, and building material defoamers.
