Polypropylene Glycols and Copolymers Europe

Heat Transfer Fluids

  Overview
Polypropylene glycols and nonionic surfactants feature low vapor pressure and high thermal conductivity, making them good heat transfer fluids. Some applications require the use of additives such as antioxidants and corrosion inhibitors to maintain product quality at higher temperatures.

In general, liquid products are used, for handling reasons. Water soluble fluids are commonly chosen for ease of cleaning, but non-water soluble products are also suitable.

Ventilation or exhaust systems may be needed to minimize vapor exposures. Consult the appropriate Safety Data Sheet for more information.
