Dust Adhesive Fluids

Overview
Polypropylene glycols (PPGs) are used as components of dust adhesive fluids. Dust adhesive fluids are applied to air filters, dust mops, and dust cloths to pick up and hold soil particles. Polyglycol P400E is especially suitable because of its water solubility and the soil load can be readily washed from the filter or mop. For air filters, the lower volatility, higher molecular weight PPGs are more applicable. The high flash points and relatively low hygroscopicity of PPGs are also of the value in these applications.
