Overview
In rubber and plastics applications, polyglycol copolymers as primarily used as mold release agents and lubricants. They serve are good mold release agents because they:

  • do not dissolve or react with the product being molded
  • exhibit a low vapor pressure
  • exhibit ease of application and removal
  • form a film on the mold surface
  • leave no deposit or residue on the mold
  • offer some lubricating action.
