MetalworkingCARBOWAX™ Polyethylene Glycols are used in metalworking operations as lubricants for stamping and rolling, fluids for cutting and grinding, and as components in buffing and polishing compounds. Soldering fluxes based on PEGs are designed to have good spreading properties, are easily removed, and leave little or no residue or charring. PEGs are also used as binders in powder metallurgy.
E = Europe grade Also see UCON™ Fluids for metalworking. In Europe, also see SYNALOX* Fluids for metalworking. Dow Polypropylene glycols and copolymers are also used in metalworking applications in North America, Latin America and Europe.
