CARBOWAX™ Polyethylene Glycols are used in metalworking operations as lubricants for stamping and rolling, fluids for cutting and grinding, and as components in buffing and polishing compounds. Soldering fluxes based on PEGs are designed to have good spreading properties, are easily removed, and leave little or no residue or charring. PEGs are also used as binders in powder metallurgy.
