Household Products

CARBOWAX™ PEGs and MPEGs have a wide range of uses in household products, including cleaners, polishes, soaps and detergents, because they are water-soluble and inert, with low volatility and low toxicity. They exhibit good solvent properties for, and are compatible with, many ingredients normally used in household products. Texture, viscosity and degree of hygroscopicity can be customized using various molecular weights or by blending two or more PEGS or MPEGs.

Dow Polypropylene glycols are also used in cleaners and detergents in Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific.
