CARBOWAX™ PEGs and MPEGs are used in a wide range of cosmetic and personal care preparations, including creams, lotions, sticks, cakes, powders, jellies and aerosols. Their versatility comes from a unique combination of properties. They are water-soluble, odorless, neutral, lubricating, nonvolatile and nonirritating.

PEGs and MPEGs make excellent coupling agents, solvents, vehicles, humectants, lubricants, binders and bases. Blending CARBOWAX products can tailor the humectancy, viscosity or melting point to fit a particular application. When used in lotion-type preparations, they solubilize actives, as well as add a "silky feel" without greasiness.
