CARBOWAX™ PEGs are water-soluble and good solubilizers for organically derived insecticides; therefore, they are excellent vehicles for plant hormones and herbicides. PEGs also have EPA approval for the use as inert ingredients in pesticides. Their humectant properties make them useful as antidusting agents in agricultural formulations. Generally, seed treated with osmotic solutions containing PEG show increased rates of germination with higher efficiency.

E = Europe grade

In Europe, Dow Polypropylene glycols are used in agricultural applications.
