Introduction
Propylene-based INSPIRE™ Performance Polymers combine low density with high melt strength at competitive prices. Compared to currently used propylene resins, INSPIRE Performance Polymers provide a combination of distinct performance properties and processing benefits. Products within this range are ideal for non-pressure pipes, particularly for those manufacturers interested in the alternative benefits that propylene-based resins can bring.
Specific product information:
INSPIRE™ 114 Performance Polymer
Advantages
INSPIRE Performance Polymers are high-performance, high-potential polymers offering improved processability, good low-temperature impact resistance, high stiffness and strength, and good service temperature.
Significant processing advantages include lower melt temperatures and pressures leading to output rate increases of up to 40%. Lower viscosity at processing shear rates allows significant improvements in production rates compared to incumbent polypropylene or polyethylene. Lower processing temperatures also allow for more efficient and quicker cooling of pipes in production.
Applications include corrugated and structured wall pipes, typically for sewage or drainage, and ducting.
