Melt Index 190/5 - 0.4 g/10 min
Density - 0.958 g/cm3
Technical Data Sheet - English (77KB PDF)

Background

DOW BG 10150 HDPE Resin is a high-density polyethylene resin which contains a well dispersed carbon black and the additional stabilizers required for pressure pipe applications.

DOW BG 10150 HDPE Resin has been designed for applications requiring high strength and fracture toughness. The LPL (Lower Prediction Limit) at 20°C is greater than 8 MPa, which qualifies this resin as a PE 80 material.

Processability

DOW BG 10150 HDPE Resin can be extruded using conventional techniques at temperature profiles between 190 and 230°C with a melt temperature between 200 and 220°C.

Applications

  • PE 80 pressure pipe for general-purpose water supply and gas distribution
  • Pipe fittings
