Dow Europe offers a new three-layer polyethylene (3LPE) steel pipe coating system – DOW™ HDPE 12110G and AMPLIFY™ GR 320, suited for high temperature pipeline applications.
- DOW™ HDPE 12110G - Durability and Improved Processing
The specific product design of DOW™ HDPE 12110G makes it possible to combine very good environmental stress crack resistance (ESCR) and excellent flow behavior for improved processing on high output extruders.
- AMPLIFY™ GR 320 - Durability and Adhesion
Based on oven ageing testing of AMPLIFY™ GR 320 at elevated temperatures of 100°C and 110°C, a lifetime expectation of minimum 50 years can be calculated and predicted for this adhesive.

Lab Coating Capabilities
Dow’s lab coating line allows the coating of 170 mm pipes. It was used to help optimize processing and peel strength performance of AMPLIFY™ GR 320 but also for testing its compatibility with a number of epoxy resins that are used in the global steel pipe coating industry.
