Dow Monomers

Dow provides a full offering of monomers for a wide range of applications.

Acrylic Monomers or Acrylic Acid and Esters are key materials used in dispersions and emulsions for adhesives, coatings, inks, woven and non-woven textiles, plastics and polymers and superabsorbent products.

Functional Monomers (GMA, HEA and HPA) are essential components of automotive coatings, powder coatings, radiation curable coatings, waterborne coatings, industrial and protective finishes, appliance and hardware finishes, adhesives and electrical laminates.

Specialty Monomers – Divinylbenzene (DVB) and Vinylbenzyl Chloride (VBC) – have been used in the synthesis and manufacture of plastics, composites, ion exchange resins, and latexes for coatings and resins in a multitude of applications.

Dow also offers Vinyl Acetate Monomer a key component of emulsion polymers, resins, and an intermediate used in paints, adhesives, coatings, textiles, wire and cable compounds, laminated safety glass, packaging, automotive plastic fuel tanks, and acrylic fibers.
