Center of Excellence, Samstagern, Switzerland – After operating a pilot coating facility in Horgen, Switzerland for close to four decades, Dow moved its pilot coater to upgraded facilities in Samstagern, Switzerland in October 2008. The new Center of Excellence for Paper & Board Coating includes the following features. Pilot Coating Facility - Midland, Mich – The pilot coater in Midland, Michigan, which started operations in 1960, is the site of the first supplier-owned pilot facility.
