CELLOSIZE™ QP-100M-H

A thickener that is compatible over a wide pH range, delivering pseudo-plastic rheology to end-use products. It is used in rinse-off and leave-on conditioners, conditioning shampoos and hair relaxers, and rapidly dispersible in cold water. INCI Name: Hydroxyethyl cellulose

As the highest molecular weight cellulosic polymer that Dow offers, CELLOSIZE™ QP-100MH, part of Dow’s CELLOSIZE™ hydroxyethyl cellulose (HEC) family, is a thickening agent used in household cleaning products, toilet tank drop-in tablets, and other products where high thickening efficiency is the most valued performance requirement.

CELLOSIZE™ QP-100MH and other agents with high viscosity grades have been developed primarily for use in latex paint formulations and is an unparalleled thickener in textile carpet dyeing and printing.

Formulations with CELLOSIZE™ HEC offer consumers improved body, smoothness and silkiness in their personal care products because it’s an excellent film-former, binder, thickener, stabilizer and dispersant for a range of offerings – from shampoos, to hair sprays, neutralizers, creams and lotions. In liquid detergents and waterless hand cleaners, the ingredient acts as a thickener and protective colloid.
