In April 2018, ECHA’s Biocidal Product Committee (BPC) adopted 12 opinions, approving active chlorine generated from sodium chloride by electrolysis and active chlorine released from hypochlorous acid for disinfection, as well as carbendazim for product types 7 (Film preservatives) and 10 (Construction material preservatives).
The BPC also adopted a non-approval decision for the amoeba Willaertia magna c2c Maky for product type 11 (Preservatives for liquid-cooling and processing systems) due to lack of efficacy and concerns for human health.
Dow Microbial Control is fully committed to supporting its biocidal products and the needs of our customers. For further support on biocidal compliance, please contact your local sales representative, contact us for more information or refer to our BPR checklist.
