In the race to secure a sustainable water future, leaders from The Dow Chemical Company, NASCAR, Richard Childress Racing (RCR), the University of Arizona and Pima County Water Reclamation met in Tucson to discuss local water challenges and solutions to effectively address water scarcity.
Austin Dillon, 2-time NASCAR champion, knows how crucial water conservation is. As an avid sportsman and outdoorsman, Dillon recognizes that water resources are important to individuals and communities alike –whether it be used to light up our cities, manufacture automobiles, and power our own bodies. That’s why he chose to honor World Water Day with a special paint scheme on his No. 3 Dow Chevrolet for the Camping World 500 race in Phoenix on March 19.
"I have always loved fishing and boating or just being near the water,” said Dillon. “World Water Day reminds us we need to keep water clean so that everyone can enjoy it."
