Dow Will Work with France’s Strasbourg University to Develop Engineering Talent

Top engineering students will have more opportunities with the creation of a new partnership between Dow and France’s second-largest university.

The agreement will strengthen the bonds between the company and Strasbourg University’s European School of Chemistry, Polymers and Materials. As aspects of the partnership are being identified, already five industrial projects at the Lauterbourg and Drusenheim sites have been assigned to third-year students. Meanwhile, Dow experts have given lectures at the school.

“We share a vision of excellence,” Ramon Melgarejo, president of Dow France, said about the company and the university. “This collaboration combines a formation of exceptional quality and cutting-edge industrial know-how. Through their cooperation, the educational and industrial worlds unite for jointly facing daily scientific challenges.”
