Cristina Myers is the Issues Management and Crisis Communications Leader and is responsible for setting the strategic direction for issues management and crisis communications. Additionally, she provides communications support on key litigation matters, strategic enterprise-wide issues and helps drive the development of the Public Affairs/Government Affairs crisis communications global strategy and process.
Myers joined Dow in 2010 as business and marketing communications manager for Polyglycols, Surfactants & Fluids. In this role, she was responsible for providing executive communications support to business leadership and developing and implementing marketing communications strategies. In May 2012 she assumed additional responsibilities as communications manager for the Oxygenated Solvents business. Later that year she was named Specialty Chemicals communications manager, where she was responsible for global leader communications support of the business president and business directors as well as development of marketing communications strategies within the Specialty Chemicals businesses. Myers was named to her current role in February 2014.
Prior to joining Dow, Myers was an account manager for McKay Press, supporting Dow Building Solutions. She previously supported Dow as an account executive at Parsons & Maxson, and prior to that, she spent seven years in account management at BBDO Detroit supporting the Jeep Brand.
Myers earned a Bachelors degree in Advertising from Michigan State University.
