DOW™ C9 Resins

Resin Feed is a mixture of (mainly unsaturated) C9 and C10 components rich in indene and vinyltoluenes. It originates from the high temperature cracking of petroleum fractions and is distilled out of pyrolysis gasoline (pygas) during the production of benzene. Since this product is a distillation bottoms product it also contains heavier components such as naphthalene. Resin Feed is used in hydrocarbon-based resins, such as those in the Uses section below.
