Dow launches ComfortScience at EUROPUR 2017 Annual Event
Today, at the 2017 EUROPUR and EURO-MOULDERS annual event, Dow Polyurethanes is launching ComfortScience – a new initiative which showcases its unique approach to creating flexible foam solutions with the end-consumer in mind.
At the fully-booked conference – currently being held in Milan, Italy – Dow will be using the ComfortScience philosophy to illustrate how it is helping foam industry stakeholders deliver comfort to consumers worldwide.
This year’s event is focused on ‘Innovation: People, Products, Processes,’ making it the perfect setting for the launch.
As Jon Penrice, Vice President Dow Polyurethanes EMEA India explains, “It’s our aim to help people achieve their ideal levels of comfort. It’s about combining our knowledge of material science with an understanding of how people think, feel, sense and behave. ComfortScience brings all of this together under one philosophy.”
The team at Dow are producing a range of high-quality materials that help address different needs. “We’ve identified three dimensions to make comfort more ‘tangible’ and help creating new materials – Ergonomics, Microclimate and Sensation,” says Jon Penrice. “By configuring these three dimensions differently, we can tailor solutions to deliver the most comfortable experience possible.”
