Greater design freedom with low-temperature-cure liquid silicone rubber
SILASTIC™ LTC 9400 Series Liquid Silicone Rubbers (LSRs) are elastomers which expand design freedom and process efficiency for automotive components and consumer goods through its feature of low-temperature curing (LTC). LTC increases freedom and efficiency by allowing overmolding of LSR elastomers onto thermally sensitive components, such as low-melting point plastics. Especially suitable for high-volume injection molding applications, SILASTIC™ LTC 9400 LSRs also offer fast temperature activation at standard, elevated temperatures, saving cycle time for standard, molded components.
SILASTIC™ LTC 9402-50 Liquid Silicone Rubber is a self-lubricating, low temperature curing injection-molding elastomer. It features a Shore A hardness of 50 as well as self-lubrication and low compression set, making it well suited for applications such as thick-walled connectors and seals, electrical connector seals/gaskets and weatherpack seals. Ongoing product development will offer additional options in hardness and other performance properties, allowing for the application of this low-temperature curing injection-molding technology to a wide range of applications.
