Greater design freedom with low-temperature-cure liquid silicone rubber
SILASTIC™ LTC 9400 Series Liquid Silicone Rubbers (LSRs) are elastomers which expand design freedom and process efficiency for automotive components and consumer goods through its feature of low-temperature curing (LTC). LTC increases freedom and efficiency by allowing overmolding of LSR elastomers onto thermally sensitive components, such as low-melting point plastics. Especially suitable for high-volume injection molding applications, SILASTIC™ LTC 9400 LSRs also offer fast temperature activation at standard, elevated temperatures, saving cycle time for standard, molded components.
SILASTIC™ LTC 9400-50 Liquid Silicone Rubber features a Shore A hardness of 50 and is well suited for applications such as consumer goods articles and grommets, gaskets and seals. Ongoing product development will offer additional options in hardness and other performance properties, allowing for the application of this low-temperature curing injection-molding technology to a wide range of applications.
