DOWTHERM™ RP Heat Transfer Fluid

A synthetic organic heat transfer fluid made of a high purity diaryl alkyl, that provides excellent performance in liquid phase heat transfer systems operating between -4°F and 660°F (-20°C to 350°C).

Uses:

  • For thermally demanding applications and where long fluid life and extended maintenance intervals are desired. Also suitable for single fluid process heating and cooling.
  • Indirect heat
  • Liquid phase heat transfer systems
  • Single fluid heating and cooling
  • Designed for use in non-pressurized systems
  • Liquid phase operation only
  • Good low temperature properties allow for low temperature start-up
  • Has a high flash point
  • Good thermal stability at the maximum use temperature
  • Single dose oral toxicity is considered to be extremely low, LD50 in rats >
  • 15,800 mg/kg
  • An alternative to hot oils in liquid phase heat transfer applications
  • Non-pressurized liquid phase heat transfer
