DOWSIL™ 335 Butyl Sealant Special Black
A color matched primary butyl sealant for insulating glass in commercial and residential applications for a homogeneous color and aesthetics at the glass edge with increased temperature resistance. A one-component Polyisobutylene primary sealant, it is a solid compound which is solvent free and non-reactive. Temperature applied with conventional heated butylizers, it has good physical adhesion to glass and various warm edge and standard spacers, is compatible with Dow façade silicones and meets the requirements according to EN 1279 in an IG system.
A homogenous appearance and improved aesthetics at the glass edge can now be achieved thanks to a new-to-the-market, color matched, primary butyl seal. DOWSIL™ 335 Butyl Sealant SPECIAL BLACK is a heat applied, polyisobutylene which is suitable for use as the primary seal in both air and gas-filled double and triple insulating glass units in residential and commercial projects.
Developed for use in glass assembly using both standard and warm-edge spacers, DOWSIL™ 335 Butyl Sealant SPECIAL BLACK meets the requirements according to EN 1279 in an IG system.
DOWSIL™ 335 Butyl Sealant SPECIAL BLACK is also fully compatible with neutral DOWSIL™ façade silicones including market leading DOWSIL™ 993 Structural Glazing Sealant.

- Temperature resistance up to 95–100°C with no evidence of trickles or flows within the insulating glass
- Ideally suited for use in high performance glazing systems, particularly where elevated temperatures are anticipated in warmer climates
- Color matched to DOWSIL™ 3362 and 3363 Insulating Glass Secondary Sealants to offer a homogenous appearance and improved aesthetics at the glass edge
