Dow and Falcon Breakthrough Fuel-Marker Technology Win 2017 Edison Award

MIDLAND, MI; LEWISBURG, WV - April 21, 2017 - ACCUTRACE™, a covert, secure and cost-effective fuel-marker technology from The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE: DOW) and CALIDUS™ MT, a fast gas chromatography detection system, were recently honored with a Silver 2017 Edison Award. This award honors and recognizes some of the most innovative new products, services and business leaders in America. Finalists are chosen as the "best of the best" by 3,000 of the world’s top senior business executives, academics and innovation professionals.

Dow launched ACCUTRACE™ fuel-marking technology to empower governments to fight back against the revenue loss and dangerous environmental impact of criminal fuel tax evasion. This innovative technology is highly resistant to naturally occurring or illicit laundering of marker out of fuel.

ACCUTRACE™ and the Falcon Analytical CALIDUS™ MT transportable Gas Chromatography (GC) unit form a robust fuel marking and detection system that allows governments to enforce tax law and prevent criminal activity.
