Formulation with new DOWSIL™ EP-9610 Cosmetic Powder comes in first at in-cosmetics Korea trade show and exhibition
The Dow Home and Personal Care business announced that its Luminous Facial Serum formulated with the new DOWSIL™ EP-9610 Cosmetic Powder was honored as the first place winner of the in-cosmetics Korea Formulation Award.
The award topped off a successful exhibition at the recent in-cosmetics Korea’s Innovation Zone that included the launch of Dow’s DOWSIL™ EP-9610 Cosmetic Powder and Luminous Facial Serum formulation. Dow gave personal care brand owners the opportunity to access this and other formulations along with material science expertise TRENDS LAB 2018, formulations deliver on global beauty trends; ACULYN™ Siltouch, a versatile silicone-acrylate rheology modifier and URBATECTION™ program offering skin protection for the urban consumer.

Dow’s Luminous Facial Serum was ranked first among 30 formulations on criteria that included sensory and performance, uniqueness, benefits to formulators and benefits to end customers. DOWSIL™ EP-9610 Cosmetic Powder gives formulators an ingredient of choice for a wide range of color and skin care formulations that requiring a silky feel, exceptional smoothness, sebum control or a matte, non-shiny appearance. Benefits include no aggregation and a low agglomeration level, a consistency that is easy to disperse and flexibility to create a variety of textures and thicknesses in formats that include solid, powder, gel/paste and liquid.
A highlight of K-beauty, in-cosmetics Korea is the biggest cosmetic ingredients trade show in Korea, a nation known globally for its trend-setting beauty culture, and a dynamic and fast-growing personal care market.
