DOWEX MONOSPHERE™ Ion Exchange Resins are recognized as the premium offering in the deashing of sweeteners, the chromatographic enrichment of high fructose corn syrup and sugar recovery in beet sugar plants, and condensate polishing mixed beds for nuclear power generation plants. The tight uniform particle size of the beads provides premium performance over standard-grade resins with Gaussian particle size distribution. Both cation and anion exchange resins in both gel and macroporous polymer structures are available.


DOWEX MONOSPHERE™ 1400PC H Ion Exchange Resin is a uniform particle size, gel, strong acid cation exchange resin, supplied in the H-form. It is designed specifically for condensate polishing applications in PWR nuclear power generating plants using ethanolamine (ETA). When used in mixed beds with an anion exchange resin, DOWEX MONOSPHERE 1400PC H resin is the first cation resin to offer protection from the sulfate kinetic problem that has commonly plagued many PWR polishers operating with ETA chemistry. It is proven to prevent the ETA-related surface fouling of the anion resin in mixed beds, thus stabilizing sulfate removal kinetics and notably increasing anion resin life and overall polisher performance. Based on the proven chemistry of DOWEX MONOSPHERE™ 650C Ion Exchange Resin, DOWEX MONOSPHERE 1400PC H will deliver the same operating capacity, durability, and hydraulic performance, which has been well established over years of PWR condensate polishing experience.
