New High-Performance 3D Printing Filament from Dow Prioritizes Sustainability

MIDLAND, Mich. – November 15, 2018 - Dow is giving priority to sustainability in the 3D printing industry with a new, high-performance 3D printing build material in the EVOLV3D™ platform of 3D printing solutions. Launching today in conjunction with leading additive manufacturing industry event Formnext 2018, the new EVOLV3D™ Olefin Block Copolymer (OBC) printing filament enables the production of light-weight, durable parts and is remoldable for an extended lifespan.

Dow will have technical experts on hand this week at Formnext to discuss the sustainability and performance benefits of EVOLV3D™ OBC and the EVOLV3D™ platform for the 3D printing industry, at Booth #3.1-D40 (co-exhibiting with German RepRap GmbH) at the Congress Center Messe in Frankfurt, Germany.

As part of its 2025 Sustainability Goals, Dow is committed to delivering breakthrough innovations and advancing the circular economy by taking into account a product’s complete lifecycle during the development process. To take its dedication to sustainability a step further, Dow intends to develop a first-of-its-kind recycling program for end-users who use the EVOLV3D™ OBC material. By recycling this product via Dow, end-users can gain access to a future (to be developed) product line of 3D printing materials made of recycled materials.
