Don’t spill your food

We know brand owners want consistent drop-impact toughness in dual ovenable trays. ELVALOY™ is a premium impact modifier that, when combined with ELVALOY™ AC or similar resins, provides the desired level of low-temperature PET toughness in refrigerated and frozen meals. For CPET converters, ELVALOY™ lowers processing costs and improves efficiency by maximizing regrind utilization and allowing the use of cheaper, lower viscosity PET resins.

Paving the way to better performance

We don’t like being stuck in road construction any more than you do. That’s why we offer ELVALOY™ Reactive Elastomeric Terpolymers (RET) for polymer modified asphalt to build longer lasting and higher load carrying roads.

ELVALOY™ RET is supplied as free-flowing pellets that melt into hot asphalt to create a permanently modified asphaltic (bitumen) binder. An RET-modified asphalt remains easy-to-use, but delivers improved long-term resilience and climate resistance.

Unlike elastomeric additives that are merely mixed or suspended in asphalt, RET locks itself in during a fluid-stage reaction. The enhanced binder stays homogenous, with good aggregate coating and adhesion performance.

There’s nothing like a leaky roof when you least expect it. ELVALOY™ Ketone Ethylene Ester (KEE) terpolymer delivers longer service life in demanding environments when used in durable low-slope PVC roofing membranes to avoid that leaky roof.

When soft, high-molecular-weight ELVALOY™ KEE is mixed with a more rigid material such as PVC, the resulting compound becomes tougher and more flexible. The elastomeric properties of ELVALOY™ KEE are accompanied by convenient melting properties for thermoplastic processing. This makes the compound ideal for coating onto woven fabrics or scrim materials which are embedded in high-quality PVC roofing membranes to help fight against cutting, punctures or shrinkage. The thermoplastic characteristic of the compound makes heat-welding easier during installation and repair.

As a solid-phase flexibilizer, ELVALOY™ KEE won't migrate out of the PVC roofing system, even when exposed to chemical pollutants such as grease or fuels. Chemicals such as these tend to extract many other plasticizers, causing membranes to lose flexibility and become brittle. The permanent flexibility and chemical resistance of roofing membranes made with ELVALOY™ KEE makes them a proven performance leader in single-ply PVC roofing.

Let’s modify your PVC

ELVALOY™ is a flexible polymer that is highly miscible with PVC during the PVC compounding stage. This makes it a useful PVC plasticizer.

Because it is a high-molecular-weight, solids-phase (non-liquid) PVC plasticizer, ELVALOY™ adds permanent flexibility to the PVC compound, enabling higher-value use in more demanding applications.

PVC plasticizer extraction issues, from PVC weathering or exposure to chemicals, can be reduced by using a polymer such as ELVALOY™ that locks itself into the flexibilized compound. ELVALOY™ performance helps increase the compound’s acceptance of other performance additives such as flame retardants, fillers and stabilizers.

Skip the trash. Recycle your PET and PET/HDPE

Consider using an impact modifier for recycled PET (RPET) resins, or a compatibilizer for blends of RPET and HDPE, ELVALOY™, either alone or combined with ELVALOY™ AC or other acrylates, improves the mechanical and impact properties of the modified materials. It also maximizes regrind utilization and allows the use of lower viscosity RPET resins, which helps lower processing costs and improve efficiency.
