Dear Valued Supplier,

On August 31, 2017, we successfully completed a merger of equals between The Dow Chemical Company and E.I. du Pont de Nemours and Company. The merger resulted in Dow and DuPont becoming subsidiaries of DowDuPont, Inc. DowDuPont is now pursuing the intended separation of the Company’s Agriculture, Materials Science and Specialty Products divisions into three independent, publicly traded companies. The intended division separations, which are subject to Board approval, are expected to occur in 2019. Materials Science is expected to separate by April 1 2019, and Agriculture and Specialty Products are expected to separate from one another by June 1, 2019.

In preparation for these separations, Dow is internally restructuring its businesses that align to the Specialty Products Division into separate entities. These changes will occur in November 2018 for legal entities residing in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Middle East, Africa and India, and in February 2019 for legal entities residing in Latin America and Asia Pacific.

Next Steps

In support of the intended division separations, a new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform is planned for the Specialty Productions Division. The completion of the separate ERP environment will result in a receiving holiday through the transition period. A number of other changes will also be required before the intended division separations.

What is expected from you?

  1. Share this information with others in your organization as appropriate.
  2. Prepare for the receiving holiday, targeted for Wednesday, October 31, at 5:00pm EDT (start time) until Monday, November 5, 2018 at 2:00am EST (end date).

All information regarding legal entity names and mailing addresses will be available online at www.dow.com/dwdp-changes. When you visit this website, you will be given the opportunity to “opt in”, which will allow you to receive email updates whenever information is added. It is highly suggested you take advantage of this feature so you do not miss any important updates.

If you supply products to multiple Dow businesses, you may receive multiple communications. We apologize for any redundancies in information throughout this transition period.

We appreciate your business, and we want to thank you for your patience as we work hard to make the transition as seamless as possible. If you have any questions or require additional information, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Sourcing contact.

Best regards,

The Dow Chemical Company
