DowDuPont™ Merger Update
With the successful closing of the merger between Dow™ and DuPont™ last fall – employees and stakeholders are curious about what is next.
Teams from both Dow and DuPont continue to work hard to build the divisions and then stand up and separate them into three new independent companies, including an intended Agriculture Company (future Corteva Agriscience™), an intended Materials Science Company (future Dow), and an intended Specialty Products Company (future DuPont).
DowDuPont is now operating as a holding company, with three divisions (Agriculture, Materials Science and Specialty Products) operating under the existing Dow and DuPont legal structures.
As the division capabilities are forming, teams are also working to legally separate and prepare the three divisions.
As the intended final spin transactions are completed, the three divisions will become independent, publicly traded companies. As previously announced, the Materials Science Division (Dow) is anticipated to separate by the end of the first quarter of 2019, and Agriculture (Corteva Agriscience) and Specialty Products (DuPont) Divisions are expected to separate by June 1, 2019.
This is an exciting time for Dow, as we race toward the successful creation of three world-class leading companies.
